Harry Potter: The Whole World's Watching
8/07/2011
I just watched Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 3D last week (30/7) and 2D last Thursday (4/8). And my impression about this movie is not changed. It’s still a brilliant movie with great casts, effects and story. A big applause to J.K. Rowling for writing the books of Harry Potter in several series. She made a true masterpiece which none of many authors could achieved. The books have been translated to many languages. The whole series have been made into movies, and without forgetting about the merchandises, games, etc. Ooh...the money is traveling in! ;p
Talking about the books, I don't have the printed version of those series. I just have the downloaded e-book of the last series, and read it but still not yet finished. I need the bunch of time to finish reading the book. The reason why I read it, because I was curious to know, why it becomes phenomenal and why it becomes the textbook for many students in UK. Why many people around the world put their heart, by lining up in front of the book store, many hours before the release time to get the books?? Amazing!
And the magic also happens on the movie too. People over the world are so obsessed and thrilled to watch the movie on the premiere. When this movie was not planned to be released in Indonesia last time, many fans very disappointed. Me too! It comes to the end and we can’t watch it on theater?? How pity is that. But thank God, the good news came and the movie is showing, now! ;)
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is a great ending movie. Some Harry Potter freaks who read the book, might be have different perception with mine. But as a viewer, I got a good memorable story after watching the movie. And it’s even better in 3D. The music scores always give me the unique sensation during the show. It pulled me in to the story, I felt there.
The story begins, when Hermoine has to change herself to be Miss Bellatrix Lestrange (secretly undercover) and go the bank, to enter her vault with Harry and Ron to find the Horcrux, with a help of Goblin. I was so excited to see them drove “a kind of roller coaster” and met a dragon before entering the vault. I also fall in love with the scene when the “You-Know-Who” Lord Voldermort and other Death Eaters attacked The Hogwarts. I think the whole characters are took in charge this part. So cool!
The whisper of Lord Voldermort was totally awesome. The beautiful words spoken and the way he said it made me thrilled. Thumbs up for the script. The proper language which wisely used and the British accent, made this movie even more dashing.
The flashback scene, showing Professor Severus Snape's past life with Lily (Harry Potter’s Mom) was shocking me. It showed everything that what Snape sacrifices over the years, is for Harry Potter’s own good. It was very impressive and touching! I didn’t realized that Nagini (Voldermort’s snake) was the last Horcrux to be destroyed.
I also love the way this movie put the joke during the tense moments. My favorite one, when Harry was being stated that he died by Lord Voldermort’s death spells (Avada Kedavra). Lord Voldermort came with his Death Eaters back to Hogwarts and asked the Hogwarts' members to join him. And Neville came forward with his pain over his body, but Lord Voldermort said that he wished for better persons (then laughing). Lord Voldermort asked his name and he said, “Neville Longbottom”, then his servants and he was laughing. I know it’s a sleazy joke and they put it in smart way. “Longbottom” *LOL* Why people give the baby’s name with Longbottom?? ;D
Anyway, Harry Potter has made our movie time interesting, over these years. Thanks to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson who have amazingly played Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Now, my childhood is over by the end of the series. The spells of magic will never be spoken again; "Avada Kedavra", "Crucio", "Expectro Patronum", "Expelliarmus", "Lumos", "Rictusempra", "Stupefy" and the famous one in the first series, "Wingardium Leviosa" which Hogwarts students learns in the first year, to lift things up to the air.
Welldone, guys! ;)
