Transformers 3: Transforms To a Bit Failed
8/08/2011
This movie was in my second priority movie list after Harry Potter. I was so excited to watch this movie on the premiere, last Friday (5/8). Actually, I wanted to watch it in 3D, but since two of my fellas worried to get dizzy when wearing the 3D glasses, so we decided to watch in the regular version.
Started with the bed scene, then I recognized the pretty lady has been changed from black to blond. She is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who played a role as Sam’s girlfriend. When you do not see the trailer of this movie before (as same as like me), you will take your time questioning in your mind, “Where is the Megan Fox?”, “ Where did she go?”. It was like losing some story-lines. Poor Rosie, she came after two big success sequels with Megan Fox. I know she has a hot body with a sexy British accent, walking like a Victoria Secret’s Model (and yes, she is), with a face a bit look like Cinta Laura ;p. As some of you may know, that Megan Fox was dismissed from this sequel - Dark of The Moon, after dissing Michael Bay (the director) in a magazine interview. It was happened before the shooting began. Quite tragic!
The special effects of this movie were fantastic. Period! Somehow it became overwhelming intense moments and seem to give you a headache if you were wearing the 3D glasses. Every detail of this movie was very carefully observed and applied in an amazing way. I could felt the real sensation in most of the scenes. The robots were spectacular, the slow motion, the fire, and the cars were absolutely great. I like when The Decepticon – Shockwave crushed the Industrial building in Russia and the office building in Chicago. Unbelievable!
Moving to the story, as I said above, I was kind of losing some stories since the beginning of the show. The new character, Sentinel Prime who brought The Arc (the Cybertronian Aircraft) to the moon was good, but a bit forced to be wicked. The secret mission of NASA in the sixties is also a bit like a joke for me. Two and half hours became so long and I did saw my watch many times to check.
Overall, I would say the story a bit disappointing, but I give two thumbs up for the special effects and, of course, the music score. Steve Jablonsky stands out!
